The final countdown...

Baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. With 6 weeks left, reality is starting to sink in. I guess it really hit when the stores starting putting up Christmas decorations. All the girls are getting excited. Brooklyn talks about baby Spencer all the time. She likes to wear Christmas colored shirts to school and red dresses to church because she says it reminds her of her baby brother. Kennedy jumps up to feel my tummy when I tell her the baby is kicking. I showed Isabelle the 3-D picture we have of him and she said "awe....." and I told her that is her little brother and he's hiding in my tummy. She looked down at my tummy and said "oh no."
Tyson obviously is excited to have a boy. As for me, the little guy has been sitting on my nerve making it difficult to put any pressure on my right leg. I also am having a hard time sleeping and breathing, which I guess is to be expected at this point. I have mixed emotions of feeling not prepared and then feeling really anxious to meet him and hold him and smell him.....
There is nothing in this world more exciting then a new baby.
